Resolutions at the beginning of the year often sound like a shopping list of desires: I want to get fit, I want to get some cupcakes, I want to earn more money, I need to drink more water, I need to pick up some cabbage (obvs. don’t eat the cabbage with the cupcakes, they’ll taste disgusting).
Truth is, I want and I need don’t really get you that far. You need some clear, actionable GOALS. Don’t worry, I’m not going to use the s-word ( the s-word being SMART which stands for something long-winded and gets brought out at the kind of management seminars where you fall asleep in the first five minutes).
Having some properly thought out goals that are out there in the world (and not just floating around in the back of your mind) is essential if you want to stand out and make an impact (and er…actually achieve stuff). Passion, ambition and drive are people-magnets – but nobody wants to be around ‘Meh… I don’t know”. It’s like a limp handshake…
So stop wanting and start having, with these 3 easy steps. And remember…Face Forward!
PS. I bet you know someone who is always telling you all the things they are GOING to do… one day… soon. Hit share and send this over 🙂
